April 24 (SeeNews) - Romanian banks’ outstanding loans to the non-government sector grew 4.7% year-on-year in March, to 387.9 billion lei ($83.3 billion/77.9 billion euro), after a 4.9% annual rise in February, the central bank said.
Private lending in lei rose 6.4% on the year to 263.7 billion lei in March, after growing 5.5% in February, the central bank, BNR, said in a statement on Wednesday.
Private lending in foreign currency increased 1.1% on the year to 120.6 billion lei in March, as compared to a 3.7% rise the month before.
